One of the most often repeated and widely spread buzzwords in the arenas of personal, business and spiritual development is the word ‘success.’
And indeed, ask the average entrepreneur, career-climber or student of life’s mysteries about their prime motivation to seek out personal improvement methodologies, and they’ll tell you they’re doing it to manifest ‘success’ in life.
But then what is ‘success’ really? What does it entail? What makes you ‘successful,’ and what would make you a ‘failure?’
Do you even know? For real?
“That’s easy…” you might say… “We all know what ‘success’ is, right?”
Well, contrary to what you might be inclined to think, it’s really not always that obvious. In fact, it’s a crucially important topic to consider and have a clear concept of, for multiple reasons:
- On one hand, it’s necessary for the sake of getting crystal-clear on what we want out of life, and thus what to focus our energies on… But that’s not all:
- On the other hand, it’s also a prerequisite to our inner alignment; without a clear concept of what ‘success’ is for us, we can’t make sure that we’re fully congruent and that we eliminate all chances of (subtle) self-sabotage in the pursuit of our dreams and aspirations.
- But above all, if we don’t have a solid notion of it, we’ll likely (be it perhaps inadvertently) impose unnatural and unnecessary pressure on ourselves, in a way that often paralyzes the very power and potential we seek to exploit with the aim to materialize the ‘success’ we long for.
So make no mistake:
Embodying the lessons you’re about to learn can make all the difference in your life, and put you on the fast track towards the real, genuine and authentic kind of ‘success 2.0’ you’re after, and that may just transcend your wildest imaginations.
So let’s dig into it…
‘Success 1.0:’ A Dead-End Street…
As we begin our exploration, consider this for a moment:
When you think of success, what’s the first image that comes up for you?
For most people it would be some image of what’s collectively decreed to be the ‘material dream,’ which is no surprise:
Our contemporary societies tend to constantly stimulate, entice and exploit our five senses of seeing, hearing, tasting, touching and smelling, thus implicitly urging us to focus predominantly on the more material expressions of what are typically considered the essentials of ‘success.’
Material goods then become the yardsticks to measure the extent to which we’re ‘successful,’ and compare our status relative to others. And this quickly makes us define ‘success’ as our ability to flash more fancy goods, luxury items and money than other people.
And indeed, for reasons that will become clearer as we progress through this article, this notion of ‘success’ is constantly reinforced by a daily bombardment of advertising campaigns that underline this very motivation.
Others, however, don’t necessarily share the concept of ‘success’ as our status on the modern-day ‘monkey rock,’ perhaps out of recognizing the many miserable millionaires and concluding that apparently “money and fame do not necessarily happiness make.”
And whether it’s out of fear, jealousy, guilt, resentment, religious directives, rebellion, or something else, some people actually adhere to an image of ‘doing well in life’ that’s rather the polar opposite, taking the supposed ‘moral high ground’ by opting for a righteous kind of frugality.
Now don’t get me wrong:
- Essentially, there’s nothing inherently wrong at all with either of these types of focus. In fact:
- This is not judgment of anyone’s image of success and a rewarding and fulfilling life. And whether it’s material riches, frugality, or anything in between for that matter, it’s all fine to pursue… provided that one condition is met (<– and you’ll learn what it is in the remainder of this article).
- So instead of a judgment, this is rather an invitation to explore what’s really driving us underneath our superficial pursuits, and to make sure we don’t fool ourselves by (inadvertently) investing our precious energies in ventures that neither empower us, nor bring us the sense of ‘success’ we seek.
Because when we take a moment for some honest introspection, we allow ourselves to discover what our orientations really say, and how we may unconsciously direct our creative energies completely differently from how we consciously think…
In fact, as it turns out, most of us invest our energies in such a way that we inadvertently recreate the very types of circumstances we really seek to get out of.
And this is a subtle trap that goes unnoticed for most people…
The Trap Unseen
To elaborate more on this subtle ‘trap,’ let’s pick one of the most popular objects of focus as a ‘vehicle’ (<– pun intended) for doing so.
The phenomenon of the automobile has almost become an object of total obsession in many branches of personal and spiritual development. Apparently, for some people the epitome of harnessing their creative powers is the ability to ‘attract’ a fancy car.
So have you ever wondered about what happened along the evolution of humankind that made a tin can on wheels such a symbol of advanced personal and spiritual development?
It’s a fascinating topic to explore. Let me tell you a quick story that does a good job of illustrating the point I’m trying to make:
What this little account above illustrates, is the relativity of concepts like ‘success:’ what one person considers to be dignified, could be considered by the next person as pathetic.
As I mentioned before, the trap is not so much in material riches or (righteous) frugality in and of themselves, or anything that lies in between for that matter.
The problem lies somewhere else…
And to see it for the problem that it is (<– so that we can subsequently transcend it), there’s no way around having to get real with ourselves.
Getting Real
We may not always realize it, but most of us mindlessly go along with a way of evaluating the question of whether or not we’re “doing well” in life that’s entirely dictated and imposed by our community and/or direct environment.
We just take whatever concept that is for self-evident, don’t give it any further thought, and mindlessly assume that what’s collectively decreed to be ‘success’ is what we’re supposed to want.
For example, most modern-day governments and societies assess a large deal of their ‘success’ based on the measure of ‘economic growth,’ implying that if the economy doesn’t grow, we’re supposedly in trouble.
That’s because our contemporary economical system thrives on consumption and the constant expansion of it. And the more we’re collectively able to consume, the more we’re considered to be ‘successful.’
As a result (in part), most of us automatically take on this belief by osmosis – and not surprisingly, because pretty much all we ever hear is that we have to buy more stuff… and not just to keep up with the Joneses, but almost as our actual ‘moral responsibility’ to keep the economy going.
But like we’re doing in this article with our overall, individual concept of ‘success,’ have you ever considered what ‘economic growth’ really is?
The term merely implies that there’s more money in circulation than before. That’s all there’s to it. Now think about that some more:
- This means that if we (individuals and governments alike) borrow more money that we don’t have in order to acquire fancy stuff that’s supposed to testify to others of our alleged ‘success,’ we’ve contributed to the growth of the economy.
- Likewise, when the weapons industry sells more of their product, it gives an impulse to economic growth.
- And by the same token, when the turnover in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry increases, this makes yet another contribution to the expansion of the economy.
But ask yourself:
When things like that happen, is that really ‘success?’ Think about it:
- Why do we (governments and individuals alike) need to borrow more money in the first place? Apparently we can’t make it work on our own. Is that ‘success?’
- Why do we need more weapons to start with? Apparently, there’s more fear and chaos in the world and bigger and dirtier wars to fight. Is that ‘success?’
- And why do we need more medicine and treatment in the first place? Apparently, more people are getting ill… Is that ‘success?’
When we get real, that can’t be the essence of what we’re really looking for… neither individually, nor collectively.
But mind you:
That certainly doesn’t mean we should all shift towards the other end of the spectrum and opt for righteous kind of frugality, as if the ‘moral high ground’ and/or ‘being spiritual’ equals being poor, living in a dump, and having no desires and aspirations in life.
That’s an equally ridiculous definition of ‘success.’ After all:
- At present, money is still an important means of energy and value exchange in the world, and is really not the root cause of misery on our planet, just as little as it’s the true source of our power.
- So who benefits if we use our righteousness about money and wealth to disempower ourselves by depriving ourselves of the very empowering instrument that could cause the ‘righteous’ visions and changes we like to see in the world to happen through us?
No one does, so that has as little to do with real ‘success’ as conspicuous materialism or any other pursuit that we don’t essentially agree with and/or that leaves us to feel empty in the end. Surely that can’t be the essence of what we’re really looking for either.
So long story short:
When we get real, what then is the real key when it comes to ‘success?’
The Key To Real Success
To repeat:
There’s nothing wrong with having a lot of money, or being well-known, or having fancy cars and big mansions. Like everything else, these are all just ‘thought fields’ and experience. (<– This is more thoroughly explained in the training PDF that comes with Session 2 of the free Crack Your Egg Introduction Course.)
But so many people get absorbed in pursuing the material ‘dream,’ that they forget about why they’re doing so in the first place.
A friend of mine used to say:
“Most people are so busy trying to make a living, that they forget to make a life.”
Look around, and you’ll see that most of us are ‘human doings’ (or ‘human-not-doings’) more than we are ‘human beings.’ In other words, life lives us, rather than the other way around.
Likewise, there’s nothing wrong with frugality if our preference is to lead a simple(r) life. Nor is there necessarily something amiss in anything that lies in between these two extreme examples.
But getting real forces us to dig deeper into ourselves, and may as such lay bare not only the potential misdirection of our pursuits, but also our deeper, underlying motivations along with it.
And when we do so honestly and genuinely, the crux of the matter reveals itself:

The real problem begins when we allow others (<– people and institutions alike) to impose their (often blindly accepted and equally misdirected) images of ‘success’ on us, and we consider their evaluations the verdict on whether we ‘made it’ in life or not.
So whatever it is you think you want – whether it’s a lot of money, a big mansion, a fancy car, a simple(r) life, a business of your own, making a particular kind of contribution to the world, anything – the real question is:
- Why do you want it?
- What’s the underlying motivation?
If it has anything to do with living up to someone else’s expectation or imposed vision for what we should or are supposed to be or do, then what we think is the ‘success’ we want is merely the ‘success’ we think we’re supposed to want.
And as such, it’s not an uncorrupted expression of our own creativity, but rather a statement in reaction to something or someone else.
And here’s the real crux of the issue:
In the very act of adhering to that image, we implicitly disempower ourselves in multiple ways:
- We put our sense of self-worth at the mercy of other people’s approval or disapproval.
We’ll look to others to confirm on our behalf whether we’re ‘doing well’ or ‘being successful.’And when we don’t succeed in their terms, we often consider ourselves a ‘failure’ because we don’t meet the externally imposed standard that may have never even really been our own.
- Enough will likely never be enough.
We’ll probably never feel satisfied and ‘successful’ because we’ll keep looking to others for a kind of approval that we can only give ourselves.
And in turn, this goes on to define the entire atmosphere around our implicit orientation. Simply put:
- Don’t expect to “effortlessly attract” it if it’s merely something your father wanted for you.
- Don’t think you’ll “easily manifest” it if it’s only something your family expects of you.
- Don’t assume you’ll “magnetically draw it toward yourself” if you’re merely trying to live up to an image of what your community decrees you’re supposed to be.
- Don’t suppose the path will be laid out for you by some greater power if you actually have to force yourself to commit to certain norms solely because they were imposed on you, or since they’re ‘normal’ in your immediate community.
- Don’t expect a big reward merely because some guru says it’s the right road to travel.
- Don’t count on a comfortable life experience if you constantly have to look outside yourself for confirmation and approval from others about whether you’re “doing well” in life or not.
If we do, we can try as we might by throwing a ton of positive affirmations, visualizations, subliminal messages, ‘success thinking MP3s’ and subtle rationalizations at our minds to try and convince ourselves that they’re really our own desires.
But our whole pursuit fails from the outset, because none of that will cancel out the fundamentally reactive (and thus non-creative) orientation we subcommunicate through the very act of living up to an externally imposed image of what we’re supposed to be and our need for confirmation and approval of others.
Either way, we’ll never be fully congruent; part(s) of us will be misaligned from our own authenticity, and we’ll never be able to fully invest our whole self in it. And so whatever we seek to ‘manifest’ will likely be an exercise in futility, or at best a practice of exhaustion.
Surely, true success (<– ‘Success 2.0’ that is…) must feel differently, right?
Indeed, it does…
Conclusion: What Is ‘Success 2.0?’
In the end, what we really seek is not ‘success’ or ‘happiness’ like many people think, but ultimately boils down to an ongoing sense of genuine, durable fulfillment that comes from being able to live life on our own, authentic terms.
That’s when our restless quest ends. And the only way to experience that on a continuous basis is to have an unyielding sense of inner congruence, rather than a constant need to fill (supposed) holes and alleviate pains and pet peeves.
This kind of success doesn’t require a particular end result… although the end results we think we seek usually do spring from this kind of congruence as a natural by-product.
Neither does it necessarily have to involve a specific activity (<– such as a particular kind of job, a certain form of altruism, or a distinct type of role).
After all, we can express our own passion and unique brand of creativity in many different ways, through many different professions, and many different roles. (<–In fact, the same profession, role, job etc. can be performed in many different ways and with many different underlying values, mentalities, attitudes and motives.)
It’s the fundamental inner congruence that’s essential, which allows us to fully invest all of ourselves in the things we do… whatever they are. This creates an unyielding sense of congruence and fulfillment that Ralph Waldo Emerson meant when he described ‘success’ as follows:
From that state of congruence, we’ll be in charge. That’s when we start to live life, as opposed to letting life live us.
Success, in that sense – ‘Success 2.0’ that is – can only be one thing for you:
What you – and you alone – define it to be.
And here’s how to get there…
Where To Go From Here?
The first step is to stop pursuing and/or adhering to images strictly because your community (<– whatever people and/or institutions that includes) considers that to be an accurate depiction of success.
So whatever images of success you hold in mind now, ask yourself:
- Am I being honest with myself, or am I merely trying to live up to someone else’s expectations? (<– Even if that ‘someone’ is a certain group, institution, supposed ‘higher power,’ etc.)
- Do I agree with these images of success, or is it merely to fill supposed a sense of lack, or to live up to an externally imposed image that I can’t really find, let alone invest myself in?
- Does holding on to them create a constructive atmosphere around myself, or does it create unnatural, artificial, paralyzing pressure?
And from a more practical standpoint, ask yourself:
- What kind of experience makes me feel fulfilled on a durable basis? And:
- What exactly is it that I’m being and/or expressing when I feel totally fulfilled and completely self-expressed?
Make no mistake: this is a deep question and may require some serious contemplation and introspection. Or it may be blatantly obvious for you, like it is for some people.
But whatever comes up for you, find ways to embody that on a more continuous (or at least more regular) basis in all the various roles you have in life.
This way, you will build the inner congruence that’s the basis for the kind of success that’s real, genuine and authentic for you…
And here’s what’s so ironic:
- A true and genuine sense of abundance will result from it. And from this state, it suddenly turns out to be a lot easier to manifest even the kinds of luxurious wealth and resources you may currently (falsely) assume to be the prerequisites of ‘success.’
- The difference will be that your ‘success’ will no longer depend on them, as they’ll longer be obsessions, imaginary and ever-moving finish lines, or supposed end objectives of your pursuits.
- Instead, they’ll be the natural by-products of an authentic sense of ‘congruence,’ ‘success’ and ‘abundance’ that you embody on a continuous basis.
- And you’ll be able to enjoy and ‘summon’ them in a playful fashion as means to self-expression and the fulfillment that comes with it… just not as essentials that are supposed to fill gaps and testify to others of your alleged ‘success.’
This way, you’ll no longer be in pursuit of success and fulfillment anymore. (<– This state of ‘being in pursuit’ will only manifest – and thus perpetuate – a reality of being in pursuit and on the path towards it.)
Instead, you’ll already be there. And from there you’ll allow things to come into being and be drawn into your orbit, rather than remaining stuck in a perpetual chase.
It’s a small difference in perception and attitude, but one with truly profound effects… as you’ll see.
It takes any unnecessary and unnatural pressure off that used to be (self-)imposed, which in turn makes you produce a whole different kind of ‘music,’ and dance to an entirely different kind of ‘tune’…
… a tune that – when given the chance to be heard – will ultimately manifest the true, genuine and authentic success you really seek (even if that includes material riches or a simpler existence).
So do the exercises outlined above, and go make it happen, whatever ‘Success 2.0’ is for you.
And don’t let anyone – including yours truly – distract you or tell you otherwise!
P.S. Together we can make a difference – please share this article with others and leave a comment:

Money, cars, mansions, private jets, a ‘look-at-us-being-all-conspicuous-flashing-our-cash’-polaroid…
What’s the implicit message?
‘Success’ is when we can show off to others how (supposedly) significant we are by means of mentioned items.
Thank you so much for this fantastic, eye-opening article. I am truly grateful.
Thank you for continuing to speak directly to my heart!
Hey Henk, I’ve read this a few times, however, for some reason, the whole article hit home in such a way that I was just stunned . the proverbial light bulb went off ( yeah, now I see what he’s saying….). For some of us, it just takes longer, I guess. Thanks so muchD5
Hi Henk,
Thank you for yet another rivetting article and food for thought.
As I read through some of the comments it struck me that my own “elusive carrot”
it home – but actually home is as one of other readers mentioned ” feeling at home in your skin” so I can have it if I change my focus to what really matters to me and dare to live only
for the pleasure of that no matter what…
Thank you “Elephant Style” as my Ghanian friend would say which is synonymous with “BIG”
xxx Love
Brilliant!!!
Henk, dude,
Awesome article as always, but the funny thing is the TRABANT!
Where did you find that picture? Dude, that is beyond funny.
Thanks
Michael Castelli
Thanks Michael – funny you spotted that! 😉 I actually made that picture myself when I was in Budapest a while back.
This another piece to my life’s puzzle, thank you.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I particularly love the visual of the rabbits displaying their “wealth”. In the first half of my life I was definitely the rabbit with the great big carrot top and the tiny carrot—-it is very humbling to see the tiny carrot you have been working for and showing off! Humility has been my greatest gift in this wonder filled life. I still love beautiful things—but that is all they are–things. The feelings of Love, Peace and Belonging that come from being “Humbly Home” in my own skin in this world of so many different expressions is fun and joyful at the same time!
Success is a progressive realisation of a worthy ideal.
Hello Henk,
I am following your articles with deep interest. I am grateful to you for giving me the reasons as to why I am facing a strong inner turbulence all the times. Yes, now I understand that everything is inside my own egg and I need to crack it open to know the real world. Many thanks for sharing your eye opening articles.
Hi, This is a great article. I do agree with the ideas presented. As i read it, one thing came up my mind was ‘ego’ – the ingredient advocated to us since our birth on this planet. When ego is rested for a while, many answers for the questions come up.
Regards.
I love these articles and I thank you for writing them. I have a comment about why a tin can with wheels has become the symbol of success today. I often take public transportation to wor in the city. I walk to a bus and connect to a train. Sometimes the bus is late and I miss the train. Then I am delayed at the train station. The next train is crowded, with standing room only. It is noisy and stifling. On the way home I wait for the train and bus.
Contrast this to when I take my car. It is my own private environment and I go wherever I please exactly when I want. If I am on the way to the grocery store, but I see a Farmer’s Market, I stop the car and check it out. My car has all my music and for many years I enjoyed driving up in the hills listening to blues or jazz. I also drive along the ocean, the coast road is spectacular. My car happens to be a convertible so I feel the sun on me and the wind. It is a deeply personal experience which I love and cannot compare to public transportation. I feel blessed when I drive. Due to various factors I am taking more public transportation, because too many people are driving, and the depletion of fossil fuels (I don’t drive an electric car)
I am not saying the car is our highest achievement as a civilization. But the pleasure of driving, and the freedom that comes with it, is very real to me. I totally understand why somebody would want a beautiful car to share rides with friends, or just the pleasure to drive a fast machine. Thanks for listening.
Hi Fritzi, that’s a very legitimate reason to enjoy the experience of a fine car. In your scenario, the desire is completely intrinsically motivated: the car doesn’t become a status symbol that’s supposed to ‘prove’ your significance to others (and as such about something else than the experience of the car itself – rather, it actually is about the experience of the car itself, and an uncorrupted vision that´s genuinely motivated from an authentic place within yourself. That’s the exact distinction the article meant to point out. Thanks for your comment!
Henk, this is a wonderful article – one that invites us to be, first and foremost, true to ourselves. It is a tragedy that so many of us have forgotten who we really are before the world told us who we had to be. It is time for the world to stop kidding itself and take a good, close inward look…or maybe the reason why we don’t is because we’re terrified of what we might see. Of course there’s nothing wrong with having material luxury, but like you pointed out, at what point do we stop living life and instead, it’s life living us? I read it somewhere that detachment is not that we should own nothing; it is that nothing should own us.
I received a beautiful email from my granddaughter last week. She has a little boy who is 20 months old, and we had all attended a family wedding. When she put my great-grandson to bed that night, she tucked him in and talked to him for a while. She reminded him that he would have a nice sleep and he could remember the people who love him and the ones he loves while he is going to sleep. He sleepily said ‘geat gamma’ and his mother said, ‘you love geat gamma?’ He sleepily said ‘yeah.’ She then said ‘geat gamma loves you too.’ He snuggled in and said ‘yeah.’ and went to sleep. If I’m feeling sad or depressed, I think of that and smile. It can be a wonderful world. Thanks, Henk. .
Well said my friend……. If one has love for self and others and is able to be of service to self and others – ONE could say that they are far more successful and wealthy than the average bear…….. All else just seems to fall into place……… At any rate, you only get to take a suit of clothes and a few trinkets with you when you leave this stone……
Thanks Henk. For writing such an insightful awe inspring article.. And would like to add that success is an expression of inate abilities to create. I don’t always think that people buy expensive cars or houses to show off but rather to experience more of life. I think it is more about what we want to experience and how much we are feeling those experiences. Sucess then takes a backseat because were’re after what we can experience, and that is, more of life.
Good evening Hank,
your long e-mail was very important for me and everyone. Yes, we are always looking for success and the new generation is looking for conscious success. My way of success is to succeed in spiritual dimensions and to help clients to reach the best results in life. Naturally also in material success, it is a big wish of all too, as this is the opporunity also to help and spend.
Most of us are in the corset of the other people wishes and don’t know the sentence that Paracelsus, the great Medicin Doctor said: “Who can be thyself, should not be the other ones!”. We can be connected with our Creator and get always help from there.
Your wise words inspired me very much and today I thank you for your many gifts for me.
With love greetings from Hannelore Dostal, spiritual Healer
Your reasoning appears a bit circular. We start out as babies knowing virtually nothing and needing to learn everything.
Growing up, what we learn may or may not be true and beneficial.
So now we pluck out of the air whatever suits us and that becomes our Truth, our measurement of Success.
Guess that is one way to never be wrong!
Thanks Henk! I also agree with what you wrote. I am 65 yrs. young and have lived a life of great need just for the essentials such as food and have lived 25 yrs. of my life with more than what I need in a beautiful home/s and cars. I now am in between all the material possessions and financial easy street. Society tells me I’m poor at this level. I”ve bought just about every LOA training and manifesting info on the market. But, I came to the realization that discovering who I was created to be and using that natural ability that I possess will bring the abundance in my life. Now I’m not saying this is necessarily easy for everyone that’s why the GURU”s are getting rich telling everyone how to do that. It is not normal to want to be unhappy or self abusive. Wealth, in my learning starts with knowing who you are and what it is that you love to do with your time. Many people are rich today especially in the USA, but that doesn’t mean they are wealthy. There is a huge difference in the two. First of all, I’d like to say we are all winners. If you are alive then you won the race to the womb against millions that were competing and you won the.race. Each one of us came here with great demands depending on others to assist us until we could do for our self. All of us writing to you Henk made it this far by the grace and provisions of God. Why would the creator turn His back on us now. He won’t. We turn our back on our self by the lack of faith that He created us with. Which are the tools to learn who we are and use those gifts to achieve our needs and most of our UNSELFISH wants. I know manifesting is real. But, I believe that it works correctly when used in unison with the flow of each individual life path. Most LOA teachings make us the God in command of our wants (like a small child does) telling the universe how to do it our way. Truth is we don’t always know what is best for us. It can look great until we get it. I believe in abundance because we have inherited from our Creator his gifts. But each of us must accept our gifts and be THANKFULL for everything and every lesson. Thanks again Henk for being real.
Thanks for your extremely valuable insights, Henk! I hope you continue receiving and playing forward enlightenment to all of us, and that we, in turn, will do the same.
I feel relieved – more than anything. Getting caught up in the rat race is exhausting –
Excellent! Too many people use scripture to elevate poverty without realizing that poverty is just a flag in your life telling you what you need to get rid of, AND the Bible actually points to choices! All the choices God gives us and he expects us to use them to create our life! In fact, He wants us to create and use all that He has given us to do that. Hello? Faith is a substance that creates anything we want out of what we don’t see! Go for it! This definition of success is absolutely spot on!
I fully agree on everything you had to say. Love and real happiness can’t be bought you have to go out their and find it but you need to make the difference. If you can learn to love and accept yourself just as you are (with or without the materialistic things) you have discovered a pot of gold!
Well said.
Thank, I just been awake and realize that chasing a dreaming success should actually a kind of success that can make me really fulfill from the bottom of heart. To be honest that outside that full of material things I desire to possess, but then will me really fulfill for all that if I really possess all of them one day >< perhaps I should think more and deep more.
thanks so much, sir, but i thought the positive information gather and make good use of it, to give us our heart desire as well make life comfortable and happiness shld be seen or regard as success.
One dead tree is all it took. I thought about that tree, how it provided air for all, how it grew great roots so it provided stable grounding, how it gave us shade on a hot day, how it provided a home and food, for various creatures over its 300 yr life span, and even dead it would provide a heat source for homes or cooking. How often I took this for granted. I started thinking of the pretty flowers outside my window, nature provided these! How beautiul they really are! Really Look! How blessed I am to be on this beautiful journey! Knowing I am in this body, here for a short while, everything I need being provided for already, I believe I am a character of this short act, so I will enjoy, appreciate and be humbled and thankful for everything I receive. That is my perception of lifes secret. Another great article Henk. Thank you for sharing 🙂
This is the thing sages have been telling for ages. It is another way of saying much of the stuff made available in the market in the name of the so-called law of attraction is completely off the mark
Perfect timing! This is exactly the message I needed. Thank you!
Point me in the direction of “That” state of “Being”.
SUCCESS IS :-NOT NECESSARILY THROUGH THE LAWS OF ATTRACTION NOR THE LIMITATIONS ON MANIFESTATIONS THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF YOUR ENDEAVOURS,QUITE DILIGENTLY WITHOUT ANY VESTED INTEREST.
SUCCESS SHALL BE YOUR ABILITY TO CONVINCE OTHERS YOU ARE NOT ALWAYS WRONG WHILE EVALUATING THE SITUATIONS OF GRIEF, DEPENDENCE AS WELL AS TO PROVE WORTY OF YOUR SINCERE EFFORTS.
SUCCESS IS TO BE DEFINED WIT H OF GREDITDS OF NOBLE DEEDS TO HUMANITY.
SUCCESS IS A SELF-ACCLAIMED CRITICAL APPRECIATION.
SHAM SUNDERAZAD——————————————WITH REGARDS
Great article! I agree with every word.
I just wish people here would not use this platform for their political views – Sybilla up there. There is no such thing as “occupied palestine” and this is my country Israel you are talking about. I wish you all success in healing people but I would advise you to get your facts right if you really want to offer help here instead of more hatred, thank you,
This is such a great article! I agree with you. I have found that my own personal success lies in a much deeper state than material possessions. My thoughts travel towards necessities. I see a distinct difference between successful y having what we want and having what we need. I tend to lean toward the” Finity”, however, I certainly wouldn’t reject the “Infinity” if it were within my grasp. I believe a part of success is having all of the necessities of lo oh life.
…but consider this also ..money is evil but lack of it is the worst evil. To be satisfied you need to have an appreciable level of success in order to take off and be in the driving seat.Or else if you become satisfied at a low level, you will remain a pedestrian who will never take off to higher levels of experiance.Tell me whether experiances are qualitatively the same?
I commend you for such a wonderful article which encapsulates the message that you can have what you want, but don’t let it have you. Live with everything and not within anything. I share with your readers a quote from “Good Bye, Mr Patel”
“When we clear our minds
of the clutter of useless baggage,
worthless information and
second-hand knowledge,

Thnx …..I woke up this morning at 0300hrs ….disturbed. . I now feel great after reading your writing….Gr8
Thoughtful and heart-felt post. Thanks for the way that you have expressed this and it is inspiring and grounded which is supports the depth of you message. Beautifully expressed.
Great post! I, like many others, delved into the Law of Attraction and soon discovered that it seemed that many people looked at the philosophy as a means to acquire things, as you mentioned. Very inspiring and honest appraisal of what we all are truly searching for. Loved your “Crack Your Egg” program and am happy to be back ‘in touch’ with your writings. Thank you for sharing!
why does the human condition find it easier to worry and stress about life than be grateful for what we have.? If we are an individuation of God, why is it not the other way round ?
Your article has highlighted the truth. Nowadays people are busy ammassing wealth at the expense of true happiness. One funny thing about money is that the more you get the more you want. It’sike chasing the wing actually. If anything some of the richest people are the most miserable people. You have celbs who have millions of dollars committing suicide, why? riches blinded them to the true meaning of success.
This write-up is one of the best I have seen in a while. It seems like everyone is trying to sell LAW OF ATTRACTION by claiming that it will solve all the problems once applied. But that is absolutely a false claim. Because the Law of Attraction is not about greed as you explained.
I love the idea of durable fulfillment. It’s about what makes us feel happy and fulfilled on the inside. And that’s usually the simple stuff. For me, the jet set lifestyle holds NO appeal. Just looking at those pictures of jets and sports cars stresses me out!
Love it when a great point is shared with a great story! Thank you for posting.
This is a great concern. there is not standard for success. It is going to be evaluated by the specific person’s values.
I follow the Crack your Egg for some time and see progress. That’s what I mish in the most stories about The Law of Attraction. Life is an never ending story and when you go miss
something, you create a blockade in the flow, an other egg to crack! There is a difference between Longing and Creation, in fact, we ask what we want and the univers creates it for us. When we think that we have to do it our self or that we do not see a possibility, the universe does not interfere. We only have to keep our eyes open and take it when it comes along
Nice feeling while reading your article, thank you! I’ve never really been drawn to huge mansions and hand-made cars but I do love to learn/train/expand my skill base, and travel. Life experiences are what propel me – to lead a ‘richer’ life with what I’m doing and then sharing this. It takes income to create these experiences and there has to be some ease with which to be able to share them as well. Tension around income is not conducive to the creation process. Life isn’t so much about stuff as it is about feeling, growing, developing, and shining out through the heart into the world. That is the fulfilling part.
Thank you!
Now that’s more like it!!!!! Simple, short and to the point. A perfect example of someone who knows what they are talking about!!
As we have learnt in life, life is simple (if we allow it to be) .
When a person makes something sound or appear complicated it often means one of two things and in some cases both. One they really don’t understand what they are trying to portrait to others or two they are being dishonest in order to cover up the simple facts and truth, politicians being a perfect example. And the same goes for life.
Life is only complicated and a struggle because we do not understand the simplicity of the workings of life or in other words, the simple facts of life. Just about all of us have experienced at some time in our life something new that when first encountered seemed so complicated and really had to understand and do but of course with enough effort and correct practice that thing that once seemed so complicated becomes fluent to us and any sense of initial complication is replaced by the a natural flow and fluency.
So here’s a question for you folks. Does the universe operate and exist within a mind boggling complicated format or does it function within simple, purely logical format?
So Henk, great stuff mate. Now continue you where you left off and show the world how uncomplicated life truly is!!
Sincerely
Mark
Hi there, A great article, and i too am in total agreement. It has never been a conscious change or shift in me… i naturally seem to realise life’s true pleasures do not lie in materialistic wealth and abundance, maybe thats why i seem to have never been troubled by money issues in life.
My issue really lies in ” what i do ” my work is very wasteful of the earths resources and is used in warfare. So not very ECO or inline with my internal beliefs. So i have turned my back on my old working life and i am trying to create a new one at the tender age of 42. I have read lots about,,, working with your passion, trying tp be of service to humanity, finding my gift etc… but 6 months into it… i feel no closer to ” finding it” … and i feel like time (money) is slipping away and i will be forced to ” go back” to the old life.
So my idea of success would be to find the reason i am here.
THANKS A LOT for what you are saying – I TOTALLY and WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with what you are presenting. Indeed, about a year ago I decided I would no longer bother with this Law of Attraction stuff (which, you are right, tends to focus on such things as cars and mansions) and to devote myself instead to what I really wanted to do/be. So I started working for Drs without Borders ( a humanitarian organization -in Occupied Palestine last year) and though it has meant renunciations, I am MUCH happier and more fulfilled.
I also started taking the courses that matter to me (Evolutionary Enlightenment and Awakening courses) and somehow I found the money to pay for them.
However, I have been living out of suitcases and in rented rooms for what is now close to 7 years -since I moved from Eastern Canada to the Pacific – because my things are in storage and I cannot afford to rent an apartment in the city I am living.
I have to say that despite all of this, I do not regret moving, as I am much happier here than I ever was in Montreal. But I am getting tired of having little access to my books, my music and so many other possessions (they are in another town). I long for a place of my own, but see no way of attaining it (other than a windfall). So YES, life is better like this, BUT…
Love your articles and wish more people thought that way. Keep up the good work.
Thank You……this was very valuable to me today. It is very easy to define yourself based upon the perceptions held by others. It can be very insidious. Your article reminds me to be in the moment at all times and to strive always for my own brand of authenticity….
This is something that I have been studying for quite some time when the 1st movie was released on the Laws of Attraction. The day you stop chasing is when your life actually changes. By being present, you start to notice what I call coincidences.
I have even started to log them into a small diary of sorts. It is extremely uncanny how you start to notice things that appear in your life that you actually requested. It certainly does not happen overnight for everything. Just keep your eyes and ears open to what is evolving in front of you.
There are a few tips that I would recommnend;
1) Believe in the Laws of Attraction
2) Observe what you see but try not to judge
3) Enjoy the Journey
4) Visualize your future
5) Meditate and be silent
Never thought that the success is, the car you drive, the mansion you have or having a lot of money, or stuff like that. I’m not running behind the success. I love many expensive things because I love those. I like a car and it’s not my fault if that is very expensive, I like it, I feel the leather of its inner, the sound of its engine, the joy for driving that. I love to live a comfortable life and for me it could be… a big mansion as I have in my mind. I love to travel and I love many expensive things as watches. I don’t care if having those things I’m considered a success person or I’m not. I would like the life that I want, that it’s doing what I want every time I want. Financial freedom. I don’t care if my computer is old or not, if it’s working and he’s able to do what I need, it’s OK for me. And the same for my phone or other stuff. But, if I want to change my computer or phone or car or home, I don’t want to think… OMG! I can’t, I’ve not enough money or, I can buy that, but I need to fulfill many papers, before having that. I would like to go to the shop and then buy what I like, not what that I can buy with my budget. I have never had what I liked, but what I could have thinking my budget. For now, I have to think always if I can afford that charge, for foods as well. I don’t have any job, any income, so what matter what the success is? I want to live. I know that I don’t have to think that I don’t have, and I don’t have to think to my account bank or about my lack, because I’ll attract more lack. I know that I don’t have to expect me anything and I have only to give and to be grateful thanking everyday for what I have and what I get and so on. Changing your life is possible, it’s simple, not easy. Finity or Infinity? I’ve to think to eat, tomorrow, thank you, because today I have had my launch. Sorry for boring you.
All I could do was just sit and read this blog and completely understand that this was an Article from God that was meant to share with my circle of influence. I say this because this morning i committed to a bible reading plan online in which I have promised to share on facebook….the verse was a prelude to this article. Thank you. Please like my page on facebook if you can…facebook.com/jeanette lopez-shur. God bless.
Many thanks for sharing this beautiful thought…..I was actually very confused about this idea of being happy or successful…..but now m clear gonna change my perception from now on wards.
Hope I’ll be happy, successful n blessed from now on.
Thank you 🙂
In a nutshell, I could not agree with you more. I particularly like what you said about not pursuing success and not pursuing happiness as the way to acquire both through manifestation and the law of attraction.
dear henk ,
please accept my aplogoize ,if i haven’t left any comment for a while. and thank you again for your significant articles .
in conclusion, as my acknowledge from this articles, the human is essense of manifesting and creating in side of him or herself .

Someone once said: “The truth will set you free.”
(I think it was John, Chapter 8, Verse 32)
Thank you for telling the Truth.
Thank you for setting me free.
Keep smiling!
Definitely very true all this, and always good to be reminded of it from time to time lest we forget it. And it’s great that you take the time and energy to publish this most vital knowledge, which is actually the key to real happiness on earth. All my praise to you for contributing so actively to strenghten the collective positive pool of thoughts of our world…………..
I HAVE specifically adopted the above feelings-just to express as to how much (your) subscribers admire your judicious efforts on various aspects of life-the humane characteristics! Obviously you are fully seized with these channels of attractions-
Are these laws of attractions?
Personally we do realize the conceptual existence of our needs amidst the struggles for survival-some are born with a silver spoon(?),but quite a few have to prove worthy!
A serious deliberations shall now be initiated?

Thanks for your valuable article. You said the truth.
I love that: The idea of defining success yourself, not others. That’s fantastic.
Hi Henk,
The article you send to me really speak my mind and thought over the years, that is, there
is no limit to receiving and having, the pressure is from our environment and the people
around us, but if we can imbibe culture of contentment, satisfaction, fulfillment things will be
alright. Best Regards
thank you very much . for all books …

Ah, yes. The five senses are how we relate and react to the material world , and we go out of our way to stimulate and satisfy those senses whenever possible. The reward, however, is fleeting when compared to a consciousness that finds direction and gratification from the sense of Spirit, that Power of All Creation which dwells at the center of the holy place within us all. We need only take the time to contemplate and strengthen our spiritual senses to understand and know what has been promised to us as Heaven on Earth.
Wow… Now I know why I was never happy even when so much money was coming into my life back in the day’s. Now I know to be happy within and not from the outside. Now for sure there’s going to be a big diffrence in my life, knowing that happyness comes within not from the outside world. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. And GOD Bless You .
When I used to read a statement in the Bible where Jesus said “I come that you might have life, and have it in abundance”, I couldn’t really visualize this because life is so filled with misery, disappointment, discouragement, despondency, and just accidental happenings and, because I, like so many others I have known and do know, are living lives of pure ‘existence’–which is not truly ‘living’ at all. It is a meager life lived ‘by accident’, and not ‘on purpose’. For the very first time, going through these lessons and study guides, I am understanding the true meaning of living a life of ‘abundance’, not necessarily in a monetary sense (though I now fully believe that this is also possible, from these materials, and that that, too, will become a reality as I continue), but in the sense of being finally able to live life “on purpose”–with a measure of control on how it unfolds. Before these “Crack Your Egg” series of lessons, my life has been like a car going down a steep hill with no driver at the wheel. And now these lessons has been the only source of information that has finally been able to do something that all manner of religious affiliations have not been able to do (and I’ve engaged in many of them); and that is to PUT ME IN THE DRIVER SEAT!) Thank you SO VERY MUCH! I was viewing life through a “hazy mirror”, and now I see clearly for the FIRST TIME! Thanks!!!!!! Keep up the good work, there are so many in bondage that need and deserve to be set free–even from the bondage of religion! This is not about religion, it is about LIFE, AND LIVING LIFE IN ABUNDANCE, IN EVERY AREA OF LIVING!
God Bless,

My happiest time is when I can go into a deep meditation, usually in the still of the night, align my consciousness through all the chakras, focus on the pineal gland (the single eye) which is the portal to the inner world of light, and connect with the theta level of the brain and find myself instantly in this pure energy source, that is at once gentle, all-pervasive, powerful, penetrating, and strong – then, the busy “monkey mind” thought stream disappears, time, and the now disappear, and I become one with this tremendous light/energy that I am a part of, and there is love and peace, and nothing else, and I am suddenly one with it. When I re-adjust to the waking state, I automatically take that energy in the form of perfect gratitude and contentment back out into the morning, and work to focus that energy out into the world of the day. I lovingly stay in this “energy state” as long as my consciousness can focus – and it has become my own personal quest to stay conscious in that state while in the every-day consciousness of the “now”. Through the conscious practice of “gratitude”, that is the energy through which manifestation works the best, and I think that should be the “new heaven and new earth” spoken of in the Bible. Consciously change your energy state, change your life!. Your perspective of “who you really are” on the inside will be image reflected to who you are on the outside, and you will match that vibrationally on the outside, as a great teacher said; “no exceptions”. So, to me its as simple as “loving oneself in purity for who you really are” will be the ultimate manifestation vibration that would bring all good to you. To consciously choose my being-state every moment, that is what I live my day’s and nights to achieve while here in this beautiful life; remembering daily, that “everything has beauty if you simply choose it (direct the energy force) to have beauty!”
Thank you very much for this article. I’m still struggling to find the balance I need to be happy. For example, I do want a bigger house (detached) because I have some problems with the neighbours and I want more privacy. But I’ve realised (after a lot of reading) that the problem is within me. I don’t want to have a bigger house so people think “oh, look at her, what a nice house she has, she’s probably rich”, but because I don’t want to have problems with neighbours so I can be happy with my children and really enjoy life. And I need more money to buy a bigger house. So what about the law of attraction in this situation? I can move, but who tells me that I won’t have the same problems in my next house? I need to change myself, to improve my self-esteem and then, after finding peace within me, maybe I will find peace in my world and I won’t need to change my house!(although this possibility seems quite remote and unreal because I actually DO WANT (or so I feel) to change my house). So now, after several months, I’m actually having the possibility to move to a bigger house, but I’m afraid of doing it!!! What if I want to move for the wrong reasons? But what would be the right reasons? What if I move and everything remains the same? If the problem is within me, that’s probably what will happen. (I’m starting to believe that EVERYTHING happens to us for a reason and that is because we attract it, we look for it, we create it. Even (and mainly) the bad situations and bad things that happen to us. And I find quite difficult to assimilate this fact. Then, am I really creating my problems? Why, if I hate them so much, am I creating them? What am I doing wrong? What should I do differently? If I can’t change, I will continue to have them in my next house. I’m working with positive affirmations, but it’s quite difficult to find people to talk about this, so sometimes I don’t know what to do). Thank you again for this kind of articles.
Hi guys: You know what I experienced today? I tried my best to hate. I felt justified. I felt righteous indignation to the max. I was on a roll. I wrote down everything that I felt. I analized what I wrote. I thought about what I said. I realized that this is not me. Deep inside my consciousness I refused to act upon what I wrote. We have choices in life. We can choose to hate. We can choose to love. Hate of an injustice is a good thing in the sense that one does not want to emulate that act. But hate based upon an abnormal and illogical set of circumstances is both a waste of time and poisonous. In short it creates negative chemicals. So acknowledging that you have been hurt is really neccessary to deal with the hurt. Relying on God to give you stregnth to go on is essential in functioning in this confusing, hurtful, unpredictable world we live in. God bless.
Hi, I loved reading your article. This is what we all need to hear to change our lives. I think just accepting ourselves as we are, the good and the not so good and appreciating what we already have, will help us to be happy and content now and of course feeling we are already a success!! Thank you for sharing!
thanks a lot for all thus stuff, I’m really been fed with precious information from your blog, I’m grateful, keep up the good work. thank you and thank you.

Hey Henk,
The word for this article is AWESOME!!! I use to be filled with negativity until i began my self development journey. Now, am proud to say i have an inner joy within me, even when i have little in my account. In fact, a lot has changed in me and i am beginning to attract words likes “oh Nelly you look fab.” High five to you!
Thanks
Henk,
It’s really touching when you talked about once you give up the obsession with possession and finally acknowledge your true self, the person who you really are deep inside, you seem to manifest what you want much more easily. This is the key. Thanks.
Kind of contradictory to me. For once: from an ecological perspective, the focus on material things in humans is not ok, it is pretty much trashing the planet. I know you can’t make money with this perspective, but it is just a fact that LOA-folks tend to ignore. Another thing that I don’t understand is this: if the outer world is a mirror of our inner world, then big houses, big cars, big money mirror what? Power? Or Potency? What I don’t understand is this: People who are really potent, don’t need material symbols as proof of their power. They mostly get them anyway, but they are not attached to them. But how can somebody, who doesn’t have the inner “greatness”, manifest outer greatness, if LOA is a fact? Shouldn’t it be impossible? This I really don’t get.
Hi – I have suffered from clinical depression for over 20 years. I have been on antidepressants for all of that time
While I do not experience overwhelming stress my mind can be extremely positive and I know and feel all that has been written here – and can live my life happily helping others and myself.
On the other hand, when in times of distress, my mind can play games with me, telling me I am unworthy, socially inept, useless etc etc and it doesnt matter what I read, hear or see – unless my medications are stablising me – NOTHING works!
I have tried all sorts of self help solutions – counselling, diets etc but I would reeeaally like to know and understand my brain and why I cannot control it without the help of medications – don’t get me wrong – I have been given the medical picture and understand the neurotransmitters cant get their messages across but surely if we are supposed to be able to control our thoughts, then why doesnt it work???
I would really like to know how to overcome this and feel in control of my own life ALL the time.
Henk,
I’ve read a lot of LOA stuff in the last few years. Some of it deeply moving, and the rest of it….not so much. I just want to say that I appreciate that the quality of thought your essays deliver. You demonstrate a much deeper and more practical understanding of this philosophy than most.
Maybe we really CAN change the world for the better….Thanks for all you do.
Hello you always hit the nail on the head. I truly do not want wealth as a status symbol i do believe that wealth gives you freedom from others dominating you. You can choose to do what you like when you like. My true passion for wealth is to ensure I never have to rely on anybody ever as growing up, I have always had to look after myself financially and otherwise. And help others. I am in a mess right now so wealth looks really good to me. My spiritual growth is far more important to me as I want inner peace and happiness and not have to worry about the demands of others on me. With wealth you can also help others to grow and get their wealth up to speed. There are so many people and animals that can do with some assistance and in our world this requires money. It certainly give ones total freedom. What others think of me is not important. i want the finer things in life as a by product that will take away worries and be a wonderful provider to myself and others in need. To live in the now and know all is well is truly a wonderful goal I need to reach. We all focus too much on wealth but once that is out the way we can truly prosper in all areas of our life as having no wealth makes for a very stressfull situation and people can have control over you. Sometimes life just happens and you get things wrong, bad decisions, but need wealth to overcome your obstacle. Put is this way, I would rather be happy and rich, very rich than happy and poor. Being poor drains your energy and zaps the life out of you because us human beings need wealth to function in this world. If one is battling financially it is more difficult to build up your emotions to maintain a happy existence. Being free of financial burdens eases the load and gives you freedom to pursue your spiritual growth. I try not to focus on the bad but sometimes it overwhelms me and takes me off track of what I really want my true path to be.
I love your articles and truly appreciate your wisdom. My prayer is to get to the level you have reached as I see a truly wonderful spiritual being talking to me with your messages and lessons.
i liked this article very much ,it contains the secret how to achieve our happiness.the thing is
it isnot far away from us.we just look at glass half unfilled rather than half filled.look at life with smile and be happy you see the sun, breath in the air because someone somewhere cant feel that happiness anymore, and YOU CAN.no one knows what will happen tomorrow
so just be content and have thins you can, eat, prey, love:)))))))))although eating is a little problematic for women:))))))))))))
Just Love it!!! 😀
‘God the good is all there is.We are one with that good and give conscious expression to it in all of life’
Once we operate at that frequency everything is available to us. We are already what we seek!
Life is a two way street. On the right side, you have the material world. On the left side, the spiritual world. Both walk hand in hand. The material world is necessary to sustain and protect ourselves from sickness and unsecureness, through food and shelter. The spiritual world is important to cover and hold ourselves from loneliness and uncertainty, through sadness and despair. If one finds within oneself how to fulfill the loneliness and uncertainty while walking through the two way street, you will discover yourself protected, secured, happy and certain,
THANK YOU, I think you doing a fantastic job, all the story inspire me, I come from a two failed marriages that didn’t work out & my last relationship not to well either, I discovered you in that time, I’ve tried everything concerning the law of attraction & it just working for me until I recently decided to just LET IT GO, it was just to heavy for me to carry around all my worries, it’s not eazy hey, but I can tell you I feel so much lighter since I’ve made that decision to let it all go, I feel like I can do anything, I feel like I am now opening myself up to the universe, I feel ok with ME, & know there are only good things awaiting me & I am so ready for it, I had no hope for my future. I ask myself how could I feel that way when I have 3 beautiful girls I need to take care of & still a single parent it’s tough I know, but it gets eazier & eazier every day, I’m filled with HOPE for what awaits us, ALL..
THANK YOU HENK, you played a great big part in the way I’m feeling now, keep up the great work,
GOD BLESS, & from the looks of it, you seem very blessed.
i am also glad to have read this. Can i give a tip if you need to attract a car never think of a black car with crome and so on think of what feeling you will get when you have the car the use that feeling and say i would Like some thing that will give me that feeling this will get you to attract every thing that can give you that feeling and not all of it will come in but you have a better chans for one thing to come in if you use this and focus on alot of things in efect.
I like what you did can i say it is nice to start of easy if you can.
Thanks that post was great. Just Be Happy.
Hi, This is really true. you can’t find the happiness threw material things. even if we happy only for few days or few months. if we can find our iner happiness its lasting. only wise people can realize that. This article is so good but not new to me because Im Buddhist. This is what Buddha taught to us.
All beings well and happy
thanks for this message, it is so relevant to what i’m going through in my life.it just reminded me of the importance of defining success for myself and not falling into the trap of low self esteem and trying to prove i’m succeful to my peers by getting myself into debts to measure my success in their eyes.thank you thank you very much.success is realy what you as a person define to be….so from today I choose happiness, peace and be content with myself and the little things I have…………..
Your articles are really inspiring. Its just unfortunate that we can’t dissociate ourselves from the environments that we find ourselves in. We are surrounded by people who value possessions. In Sociology they say a man is reflective of their environment.
Happiness was once defined to me as “Having a full belly and a warm bed to sleep in”. A companion thought to that is from the bible where it says “Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for life”. Combine these together and it seems like we are constantly sending the wrong kind of aid to places like Haiti, for example. Rather than just sending food stuffs (which they desparatly need) to aid these underpriviliged people, they should also be getting the word that “success and happiness” is within their power to believe and achieve. After all, if there ever was a time to generate emotion and succees, its when your back is to the wall. This is FYI generated by a feeling for someone out there.
I am really glad to have read this. I mostly don’t reply to articles but Today just reading this gave me such a positive feeling (maybe i woke up feeling positive ), I thougt I would say thank you for passing this on. Good on you!
Blessings and love

Hello Henk!
This teaching is a valueable gift to all of us! Most human beings live through false imaginary pictures of who they really are. Your Real Self is everything. It is the “TRUTH”, “HAPPINESS” and “LOVE”. These are powerful states that give unlimited creative power through the law of attraction in combination with other universal laws such as laws of reasonance, vibration, growth, polarity and cause and effect. Human Beings engage themselves in so many external material activities in search of “HAPPINESS”. Unfortunately, they mistakenably, interpret pleasureable feelings or excitement that they experience as “HAPPINESS”. You do not earn “HAPPINESS”, “TRUTH” and “LOVE”! These are in every human being. Enjoy them and live them at all times. They are our gifts and birth rights.
Your teaching will indeed reveal what Real Self is! We need to have eyes to see!
I encourage you to continue openning our eyes to see appalling states though which the majority of peole live on this planet earth.
Hi Henk
Thank you so much for helping me and others
Henk,
I love your articles. sometimes I think you’re reading my mind cause we’re on the same page, then I remember… there’s only one of us.
Hello there! I almost didn’t open this email because I thought it was just some more people trying to sell me something…and maybe you are after all ~ but nevertheless, I haven’t gotten that far yet, and I wanted to say I really liked the philosophy outlined in the above message. Do keep on in the same vein, and hopefully it will remain free because I myself am not into the consumer society but happily contemplating life as it goes by. Keep up the good word my friends!
This is the best article i have ever read about the Law of Attraction, that explained it in a very nice simplistic manner.Thank you very much. I wich the movie “the Secret” was so good explained because a lot of people is still confused about it. In the simplicety leis the truth. Thank you
Hello,
I want money for the enjoyment of spending and also to lavishly live by buying big house, to start own business, etc. etc. I like emotions that comes up while spending money and also like emotional freedom of spending money as a whole for things that are needed actually. Can you help me in fulfilling my success and dreams?
Dear Henk,
Love your work, I do what I love so I love to wake up. It took a while but I finally got you dont pass on what you don’t think you have enough of so wealth for me is an attitude first and my idea of wealth is measured primarily by the wealth of the attitude. Our influences are everything and thanks to the internet I get to be influenced by many like yourselves. Thx 😎 for sharing
Thanks .. bro, on the advice given to me has made me realize that I had been wrong in thinking about expectations. During this time, I think if it becomes successful it has the same with cars, houses, wealth .. should I think about how to achieve that dream. And, you’ve made me realize .. and I have started to change my mindset. Do you have any suggestions, how should I start? because .. sometimes, there are fears it wrong to start it because I do not know how to get started ..
Thanks Henk. LOA brought us all together.
I want money for the enjoyment of spending it for buying products and services. I like the emotions that come up when spending money. I like the emotional freedom of spending money for material things and! for things that are needed.
Money is a pleasure to spend. It feels good to spend it for something you desire to have.
Defining the enjoyment of spending money can go on and on.
But! if you have a problem with spending money or if you have a negative view of it for any reason, you’ll have a hard time attracting it. Actually your resisting it somehow with your negative view.
If this is the case you’ll need to reprogram your sub-conscious about money. The good news is…That’s easy. Your sub-conscious will believe anything you tell it over and over. True or not.
How long doe’s it take? Tell your sub-conscious something about 1000 and on average over a period of about 90 days. And about 90 days later you will have re-programed it with that new thought. It’s working for me.
Here’s a re-program quote about money that I tell my sub-conscious every day. I’ve been telling it to my sub-conscious for about three weeks now. It goes like this:
“I Am So Happy And Grateful Now That Money Is Coming To Me In Increasing Quantities Through Multiple Sources On A Continuous Basis”
I’ve got about 10 weeks to go. I’ve already manifested a couple of extra dollars from unexpected directions. I’m also starting to automatically respond to money talk and money thoughts and opinions from others with a very healthy view of money.
My thoughts and my money are changing in three short weeks. You can learn to do the same.
